Christian Handcuffs
Do you know what those are?
To the unassuming eye, it is a person with a Bible and a cup of coffee. But to someone who has been awkwardly stopped in the hallway at church, they are something entirely different.
They are Christian handcuffs.
You need to embrace the Christian handcuffs.
Especially, during flu season. They are an excellent tool to have when rumors of sickness spread. When you see a peaked person, you may regretfully, but delightfully reply, "I would love to shake your hand, but I have these Christian handcuffs on. Catch you next time?"
Or whenever a staff member is looking for easy prey to find a volunteer. I pull a Houdini to get out of the trap with Christian handcuffs. It's not that they won't ask, because they are experts. It's that they can't hold onto your hand or intimidate with a tight squeeze.
This is one reason you need to take a Bible with you to church. Not only can they reserve you a seat, but it provides the promise of not getting sick or being forced to serve at church.
Question:
Have Christian handcuffs ever saved you?
