How do you feel about Monday?
There aren't too many people who are in love with Monday.
Who can blame them?
Monday is like Saturday and Sunday's ugly, boring sister. Although, don't take it out on Monday.
But fortunately, we don't live in the weekend. We spend five-sevenths of our lives living in the week. That's our greatest chance to show love to others and grow spiritually.
You should never know what to expect on a Monday. If you do, then you need to unlearn it.
Think about the women who went to the tomb to attend Jesus' body.
It was the first day of the Jewish week and what did they find? An empty tomb.
The greatest news ever heard was (practically) given on a Monday. (Practically, because technically it was Sunday, but after a day of rest the Jewish Sunday would have come with Monday feelings.) The women did not expect to find Jesus resurrected.
Here are three questions to hopefully help you with your Sunday Hangover:
1) Where has God placed me?
The bulk of my young adulthood was spent focusing on where God was taking me instead of where he had placed me. I missed out on so much. If I wasted a Monday, it wasn't that big of a deal because God had something better in store for me. What a waste! I missed out on a lot of opportunities with that mind-frame.
2) What is God calling me to do that only I can do?
God has placed you somewhere to do something. What is it?
3) What unexpected thing am I expecting today?
The women showed up at the tomb and found the unexpected. They expected to show their love and devotion to a dead Jesus, but unexpectedly heard the greatest news ever. One reason your Monday might suck so badly is because you don't expect God to do the unexpected. Imagine what your Monday would look like, if you lived with the hope of seeing impossibilities become possible!
