That's right, since Pandora has ruined my radio experience for the car, NPR is my last ditch effort before I turn off the radio.
Which do you think costs more to celebrate, Independence Day or Thanksgiving?
The study broke the price down by plate. It costs an average of around $5 per plate for Thanksgiving. And around $6 per plate for Independence Day.
Surprised?
I was. I would have figured that hot dogs and Doritos are cheaper than turkey and mashed potatoes. 'Merica must know how to get down on the Fourth.
However, it shouldn't be a surprise because the cost of independence is always greater than thanksgiving. It doesn't cost anything to be thankful. It's an attitude that all Christians are called to possess.
On the other hand, independence can cost you everything.
You see what I did there?
Totally sucker punched you to make it spiritual. I'm a third degree black belt in Christian Karate.
If you live in America, be thankful today. No griping about politics, the economy, or the way things should be. Just remember what your independence has cost many others.
Question:
What is on your Independence Day menu?
