Here's a little Monday inspiration for you...
Did you know it snowed last week in the Southeast? Like ten to twelve inches?
I was off of work for an entire week. This commercial played every time the television was on. Normally, commercials are a time for me to play on my phone or use the bathroom, but not when this commercial runs. I stop and watch it. I find it inspirational (which pains me to admit because John Wall played for University of Kentucky).
It reminds me of something that the Apostle Paul said.
Many Christians live in defeat because their focus is on the past. Doing this makes us ineffective for the Kingdom of God. I have focused on past failures and it crippled me. On the other hand, I've focused on past victories and I became stagnate and self-righteous.
Focusing on the past is an epidemic in the church. I would even venture to say that it is one of the top reasons for dying churches. How many times have you heard someone complain about the changes in their church?
Christian understand this.
Adidas gets it.
Jesus and Paul taught it.
It's not about what you did yesterday. It's about what you do today. Following Christ is a daily decision that includes strenuous effort on your part that doesn't call us to comfort. (Trust me I'm typing this instead of watching the Oscars.)

"Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus"~Philippians 3:13-14.I could see AP wearing some Adidas with a statement like that. Jesus said something similar but even more challenging:
"If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me"~Luke 9:23.Christians need to watch this commercial and frame it with Jesus and Paul's words.
