Dang They Don't Stand a Chance

Many Americans are getting sick and tired of the polarization that a two party system is creating. Isn't the disunity that seems to prevail in our politics discouraging? As a result, I believe that we will see an Independent or a smaller party win the presidential election one day. Just think about it, in 1912 Teddy Roosevelt almost took the election when he ran for the Bull Moose Party. Perhaps we need some more Bull Moose parties today; however, here are five Not-So-Much-Bull-Moose-Parties that don't stand a chance in the upcoming election...or ever for that matter.
  1. U.S. Marijuana Party and the Pot Party. It's a shame when these two can't even get along.
  2. Thermodynamic Law Party. What?
  3. Cool American Party. Tragic, because America could do with some swag.
  4. American Beer Drinker's Party. The debates between them and the Prohibition Party get CR-A-ZY!
  5. Being Human Party. Technically, they haven't lost an election yet.
These are all real political parties that are on Vote Smart. Spend some time on the site. Get to know the candidates (local, state, and national levels) and their stances on the issues. Christians, you should never place your hope and trust in our political system, but you can vote with some intentionality displaying your faith in Christ.

Question:
Would you vote for an Independent candidate or someone from a small party?
